World Bringers | Two Sided Carousel Book

World Bringers is a concept I've been exploring through my sketches and polished illustrations for some years. This book, entitled World Bringers, is made of vignettes of powerful women commanding the cosmos and the divine. Each woman is a sorceress casting their will and receiving their heart's desire. They are acting of their own free will for their own sake and therefore are completely free; liberated through their own power.
The process was intense and took careful attention to detail at each step of the process. I had some initial set backs on the folding and gluing in the beginning. Lucky, I didn't let it discourage me from taking this project as far as I could. My friend and co-student Joseph encouraged me to push myself by adding the magnets in the covers and closure. He was also my inspiration for making my book double sided. The level of difficulty was high and I'm extremely proud of the final outcome.

My intention with the Zine is to give an overview of my nonprofit ARTWATERlife and our multidisciplinary art experience, the Five Dollar Art Party. This event is a celebration of diverse art and community focused on fundraising for important causes like Congo, Palestine, and Sudan. It is also an art supply drive open to all ages. Entry is free with gently used art supply donations.
